UniDE is a document engine. Pick a document type, answer a guided interview, and AI drafts a polished document from your answers. It runs on your computer, stores everything locally, and pairs with your phone so you can draft anywhere.
On your own machines. Documents and drafts live in a local database on your computer; the phone copy lives in your phone browser’s storage. When you pair a phone, sync traffic between your devices travels through UniDE’s relay end-to-end encrypted — the relay can never read your content, and nothing is uploaded anywhere else.
No. There is no sign-up, no login, and no UniDE cloud. The only account you might use is your own AI provider key (optional if you use the built-in model).
Everyday documents — journals, essays, personal planning — are free forever. Specialized instrument packs (legal formation, HR, tax, and so on) are one-time purchases. Charities and nonprofits get everything free.
Your desktop shows this code in “Connect Mobile”. Enter it once on your phone — or scan the QR on the same card, which fills it in for you — and the two devices link with end-to-end encryption. After that they reconnect on their own.
Yes. Once paired, drafts and documents sync both ways whenever both devices have an internet connection — no need to be on the same Wi-Fi. Start at your desk, finish on the couch.
Yes. Add UniDE to your home screen and keep working with no connection — anything you enter offline syncs automatically the next time both devices are online.
Pair your phone with each computer (enter its code, or scan its QR, once). The phone becomes the bridge: content flows computer → phone → computer whenever both are online.
UniDE is bring-your-own-model. You answer the interview; the model you chose (cloud API, Ollama, or the built-in offline model) writes the document from your answers. You can edit the result before exporting.
For maximum quality, a strong cloud model. For zero cost and full privacy, the built-in offline model works entirely on your computer — smaller and simpler, but it never leaves your machine.
With the built-in model or a local Ollama: completely — nothing ever leaves your machine. With a cloud provider, your answers go to that provider under your own account, and their privacy policy applies.
No. You can browse templates, run interviews, and receive a clearly-labelled scaffold document with no AI at all. Connect an AI whenever you like — from the Dashboard card or Settings — and drafts become fully AI-written.

Check that UniDE is running on the computer and the code was entered exactly as shown (the QR on the card avoids typos). Pairing only needs an internet connection — a guest Wi-Fi that blocks device-to-device traffic is fine now. If the code was already claimed, press Disconnect on the desktop and pair again.
Last write wins: when both devices sync, the version saved most recently replaces the older one. For big edits, finish on one device before switching.
Use a local AI document tool. In UniDE: open the site, pick the NDA template, answer the guided questions (parties, term, governing law), and click Generate. The AI model runs inside your own browser or computer — your answers are never sent to any server, which you can verify with your browser’s network tools. You download the finished NDA as a document you own.
Yes. UniDE requires no account, no email, and no sign-up. You open the site, pick a template, answer interview questions, and get a finished document. The AI runs on your own device, so there is nothing to log in to. Specialist template packs cost $2–5 one-time; the base library of 60+ documents and spreadsheets is free.
An offline AI document generator runs its AI model on your own hardware instead of a cloud service. UniDE is one example: after a one-time model download (or by plugging in your own AI endpoint), it writes contracts, business plans, resumes, and spreadsheets with no internet connection at all — useful on planes, in clinics, and for confidential material.
